This declaration is a call to humanity
to take part in collective global actions to protect and preserve
our freshwaters and our great oceans, crucial for survival, as
well as safeguard all aquatic life. Signees of this declaration,
pledge their active support, making statements to the type of
commitment to be implemented in 2012. It is a commitment to return
to universal order - the divine relationship to all things -
and to live in accordance to the natural world.
The Children
of the World have the Inherent Right that the natural world remains
intact and untainted-the rivers, the oceans, the forests, the
savannahs, and their ancestral homelands. This is their greatest
inheritance and they are the stewards of its future. Water is
a sacred gift, fundamental and indispensable for sustaining all
life. It's the life-giving fluid of our planet needed by all
organisms, humans, animals, and plants alike. Our very existence
is intimately connected with - and dependent upon - the quality
of water.

When our hearts beat with the heartbeat of our
Great Mother Earth, our breath is in sync with the never-ceasing
motion of the oceans and winds, our minds are connected to the
radiance and vitality of the living world, and our spirits flow
free with the wild grace of the eagle and the artic wolf, then
we will be standing as true human beings in the center of our
sacred circle. |
We encourage you to take time to think-out
and plan the type of commitment you or your group wishes to make
for clean water. Working in partnership is always more productive
and fun. Suggestions and working models will also be made available
early in 2012.
